The Banana Republic of America

I'm going on the record today. We won't have a President elected on Tuesday. I'm even go to say that we may not know who's going to captain this tub until late December. Actually I think December is optimistic, but that's me. Cock-eyed optimist to the last.

You know they have law-suits drafted and ready to submit to the court first thing November 5. Whoever loses will sue first. John McCain has the ACORN thing. Barack Obama has the voter intimidation and suppression thing. And it will be ugly.

Given that they both have grievances in this area, it might mean that they're both being cheated against equally, so the outcome might actually be fair, if not actually legal. Don't it make you proud?

Actually it is NOT equal -- the ACIRN thing was getting folks maybe REGISTERED illegally but no one in this case has ever proven anyone actually VOTED without being qualified and kosher.

While on the otherhand, the voter intimidation, misinformation spread ("Dems vote on 11/5") lack of machines, long lines. broken machines, etc. can and could have an actual impact on the VOTING result.

I'm still optimistic we'll know by Midnight tonight - if we don't expect the markets to tank a=even further and riots in the street = stay home and safe tonight.

Fascinating summary on voter tampering in the Wall Street Journal yesterday - the whole bloody history. Especially considering that they're such running dogs of capitalism. I hadn't heard that ACORN had turned themselves in. Democrats. Go figure.

I hope your optimism wins out. I'll bow to your shinier character.

Apparently a text message is going around that says "Due to long lines today, all Obama voters are asked to vote on Wednesday." 2 friends, in 2 different states, who do not know each other both received the same message. Who do they think is dumb enough to fall for that crap? Really.
