Sarah Palin

Yep.  Abstinence-only education.  Very effective.

I just want to know if her daughter and her 'fiance' planned to get married before Palin was announed or was that a recent engagement (like over the weekend)?

I was kind of down with the whole thing. Stuff happens with teenagers. No family is perfect. But then the McCain campaign said that they knew all along and it came up in the vetting process. Kiss my ass. Even if they had known, and were okay with it, there was no way it would have come out during the convention. A convention where almost nothing else is because of a hurricane. Is the GOP trying to throw this one?

I can't believe they did NOT know - but what did they think - oh, Christian conservatives will LOVE this????!!!!

PS this makes Palin a very young grandma soon - no one is discussiong this in her image - once you go grandma, even at say, 36, you just can't claimn "young & hip" anymore.

For an early look at the way the Christian conservative front is spinning this one: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/01/palin.evangelicals/index.html

My question on this one is whether Bristol got pregnant on "accident" (purity pledges do occasionaly go awry), or if she got pregnant on purpose so that she could get married over parental objections(also happens occasionally). And frankly, I'm okay just wondering. I don't really feel a right to know a teenager's business. But I'm afraid the media will be digging away on this one.
